How do you feel when you get up in the morning? Are you running behind, tired and not ready to start your day? Exhausted and pushing the snooze button yet another time? Do you feel overwhelmed and turn to quick energy in caffeine and sugar to get you moving? Do you wish you could wake up feeling refreshed and you have time to get in the daily practices you know would help you through the rest of the day such as yoga or meditation?
Are you ready to make changes in your life and feeling like you’ve fallen off course yet again? I know, it’s really freakin’ hard to change habits in your life, especially when it feels like you’re the only one changing, and everyone else is on the same path, it’s easier to keep doing the same old thing, although that won’t change how you feel. That’s why you need support, you need accountability, you need access to someone who has walked this path before and know the places that you can get tripped up, you need a group that is going through the journey with you. Let’s get started.
This program is for you if you are ready to make a shift in your life. If you want to create a better life for yourself as you age. You want to wake up with natural energy and excited to face the day. You are willing to try new things, even if you don’t get it perfect. Because guess what, there is no such thing as perfection and feeling good in your own body is a moving target.
I’m Natasha Undem and I will be your guide on this journey. I am committed to see you through these daily habits and helping you discover how small changes everyday can change the course of your life and how you show up for it. I am here to support you and cheer you along the way. After three car accidents in 2008 left me with whiplash and a very reduced range of motion in my neck along with chronic pain, I have been searching for ways to heal myself. I have found that working with these habits have helped my body reduce chronic inflammation and the chronic pain in my neck. Not only that but I sleep better through the night and wake up with more energy. I no longer rely on caffeine to get myself through the day. Many of my PMS symptoms have diminished or disappeared and my once extremely painful cycle is almost unnoticed.
This online course is amazing as you get to participate from the comfort of your own home. We will have a live weekly call. All the calls will be recorded so if you can’t be there live you will be able to download and listen it when it works for you. You can also listen again and again if you missed something the first time. We will check in with the group, sharing what is working and what is more a challenge that week. We will learn about the new habit in a super practical way that you can start to implement immediately. We will have a secret Facebook page where you can share, ask questions or check in more frequently receiving support from myself as well as others in the group. There will be weekly handouts to go with the habits as well as some journaling and tracking for you to do between our calls together.

While working with Natasha I became much more aware of my habits that were not doing me any good. Like the habit of checking out to the televison, or simply shutting down when feeling overwhelmed. This process really helped me to stay connected with my life, my choices and my health.
I have always had issues with sleep, and I do still struggle at times. But I have noticed a HUGE improvement in how deeply and soundly I sleep since removing sugar and all of the night time snacking from my diet. And with sleeping better and better nutrition comes a lot more energy! My self esteem is up because when you treat your body well, you just can’t help but love yourself that much more.
As a result of going through the program I have realized how many parts of my life were lacking attention. I never realized how much a nightly foot massage could do for me, or that consciously deciding not to eat after a certain hour really does make me feel better in the morning. Before I started Befriend Your Body, I felt pretty unbalanced to be honest. Now, I certainly don’t eat nearly as much food which is interesting and have lost a few kilos from this. I have new practices in the morning which help set me up for positive and productive days.
I would say that overall the habits are very simple and very doable but the challenge comes from doing them repetitively and collectively as the course progresses.
I would highly recommend this program because all these are simple everyday life practices which can be very rewarding. It helps to have the encouragement and ‘push’ to do this through a committed course. Also these habits also have more layers to them than first meets the eye.

I had more of a negative self view of my body. I felt that if I wanted to make a change it was all or nothing. This led me to continue to try new things and fail easily. Like many people I’m extremely busy and don’t have much time to focus on myself.
My biggest breakthrough was learning about Kaizen. The idea that big changes start in the tiniest ways. These small changes add up quickly. Natasha is gracious, easy going, and forgiving, which made showing up for the calls live a fun experience.
